Testimonials of New Members…

1. Good evening Dr. Gould,

Personally, becoming a Diversity CRNA member for me is something I value and frankly too important not to be involved in. It has been an honor to meet so many people willing to encourage me through the process of being a nursing anesthesia professional through the workshops I attended. From my experience, I can say there are priceless pearls of wisdom I got from having a network of people with similar interests and goals, which helps alleviate some of the common stressors of the anesthesia profession. Within a small community, hopefully keeping connected through this membership also serves to solidify as my commitment to others and myself the great responsibility we have to serve each other and society as a whole.

Thank you,

Clifford Charles, SRNA, University of Maryland NAP

2. Seven years after graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in French, I decided to make a career change to Nursing with the then seemingly lofty goal of becoming a Nurse Anesthetist. By a chance encounter after becoming the overall winner of the 2015 Minority Nurse scholarship, I met Dr. Gould and DNAMP. This mentorship program has helped with my struggles of self-doubts and insecurities. Seeing successful people like me who have gone through the same road I intend to travel has been uplifting and has lit a fire within me that cannot be extinguished.

Amazing Grace Ighedo, BSN (Iowa)
