Realized the D1 athlete dream wasn’t really the mission I was sent here to Fulfill, still went Ivy Leage & D1 tho.
I’ve been telling everyone since 8th grade that I am going to be a CRNA.
I Will. I Can. I Am.
In 2023, after attending a Diversity CRNA weekend event in Chicago, it was confirmation to apply to nurse anesthesia programs.

Dr. Obianuju N. DNP, CRNA is officially loading!
After 4 years of working as an ICU nurse, I’m blessed to announce I am pursuing my Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesia.
This is an accomplishment that would not be possible without God’s presence in my life. No matter how difficult the journey seemed, God has always made a way for me.
God, my family, and my friends truly carried me throughout this process and stood by me every step of the way. I couldn’t be more grateful for my support system and the opportunity to pursue a career I have dreamed of since my first semester of nursing school!
Out of all nurse anesthetists, only 3% are African-American. I am excited to one day be a provider that will further diversify this profession. Special thanks to @lenagould for creating an avenue for prospective and present CRNAs to collaborate. Thank you, God!

Honored to witness my dear friends Jupinder and Harjot embark on their incredible CRNA journey at National University.
Grateful to be part of the Diversity CRNA legacy, a movement started by the visionary Lena Gould, fostering representation and excellence in nurse anesthesia.
