I have known what it feels like to have $8 left to pay for a bus transfer to college during last week of the month. And, less than $40 of food stamps for myself & toddler son.
 
If I got a ride home from school, I bought my son a popsicle from local store.

Dr. April Morris DNAP, CRNA presented on her trajectory at the Diversity CRNA 2024 Information Session & Airway Simulation Lab Workshop hosted at Midwestern University.
 
She was a critical care nurse for 5 years and earned BSN/CCRN. As a registered nurse she attended a Diversity CRNA 2017 Information Session & Airway Simulation Lab Workshop Event! As a teenage mom, we both are from the same cloth.
 
As per April: “God had me all the time”...
 
Dr. Morris is a Diversity CRNA Board Member and the core to the Immersion Model for Diversifying Nurse Anesthesia Programs.

Today, Dessiarae Sanchez graduated from the Samford University DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program

As an ICU Nurse, Dessiarae attended a 2019 Diversity CRNA Information Session & Airway Simulation Lab Workshop event at TCU.
 
Then, applied to seven nurse anesthesia programs.
 
And, received seven letters of acceptances into CRNA programs
 
Seven.
 
Today...her daughters witness their mother graduate from Samford University Nurse Anesthesia Program!
