NEW PUBLICATION ALERT!

We are excited to announce the release of a new publication, Emergency Management in Anesthesia and Critical Care, co-authored by Dr. Jeremy S. Heiner, Dr. Mark Gabot, and Dr. Sass Elisha. This comprehensive book offers critical insights into managing emergencies in anesthesia and critical care settings, providing valuable information for anesthesia providers in high-stress situations. The publication serves as an essential resource for both seasoned professionals and those new to the field, highlighting practical strategies for navigating critical events with confidence and skill.

As per the Elsevier website:

Every moment counts when treating an emergency event. Emergency Management in Anesthesia and Critical Care provides quick access to essential information for rapidly identifying and treating complex medical emergencies. Its compact size makes this reference easy to carry in a pocket in the OR, ICU, ED, or critical care setting. An outline format with consistent headings and a logical organization puts vital content at your fingertips. It is also an ideal tool for developing and conducting crisis simulation scenarios to prepare for emergencies before they happen.

Dr. Sass Elisha, one of the key authors, is the Assistant Program Director at Kaiser Permanente School of Anesthesia. His professional interests span education, vascular and pediatric anesthesia, as well as cardiac anatomy and physiology. Dr. Elisha has made significant contributions to the field, having published extensively in the AANA Journal and various other academic sources. In addition to his work on Emergency Management in Anesthesia and Critical Care, he serves as the editor for Case Studies in Nurse Anesthesia and co-editor for Nurse Anesthesia and Critical Events in Anesthesia. His expertise and dedication to advancing the field of anesthesia education are evident in this latest work, which is sure to become a vital reference for practitioners and educators alike.

Of course, we distribute surveys for marginalized ICU RNs interested in Nurse Anesthesia careers before applying to CRNA Programs. Recently, we captured their short testimonies in video!

Proud of Alan Garcia, of Mexican descent and currently enrolled as an Emory University Nurse Anesthesia Program with full ride scholarship from the Air Force.

See what a difference in 1 year makes?
