Diversity CRNA HBCU Tour at North Carolina A&T State University School of Nursing
 
The goal, change. Upon on-campus visit to HBCUs, Black CRNAs in close proximity to nursing students on nurse anesthesia trajectory.
 
Dr. Lukeythia Bastardi, DNAP, PhD, CRNA as preceptor with return demonstration by each nursing student. It’s vitally important they meet Black PhD CRNA researchers too.

Historically excluded critical care nurses of color introduced to the functionality of the anesthesia machine by Rush University Nurse Anesthesia Program Director, Dr. Maiko Yamashita, DNP, CRNA.
 
Notably, we provide direct access for marginalized nurses to touch anesthesia equipment and meet CRNA faculty at Diversity CRNA Events. Nurses will never forget how it felt and see themselves in this role, priceless.
