Chris Scott, CRNA at the intubation station for ICU RNs across the country interested in Nurse Anesthesia attending the Diversity CRNA 2024 Event Midwestern University. In 2009, he attended same event as a critical care nurse before applying to nurse anesthesia programs.
A few years later, Chris graduated from Villanova University Nurse Anesthesia Program and paying it forward.

Planting seeds of opportunity only Diversity CRNA in substantially contributing to graduating cohorts across the country continue to do as a grassroots evidenced-based award winning initiative.
In 2016, these three ICU RNs attend a Diversity CRNA Information Session & Airway Simulation Lab Workshop Event at UTC. Fast forward to 2019 & 2021, they remained friends and graduated from Nurse Anesthesia Programs.

Historically excluded ICU Nurses of color were able to ask follow up questions to CRNA Panel. This is called access and early professional socialization for this evidenced-based award winning diversity grassroots initiative.
Hope to inspire others to help us diversify the field of nurse anesthesia. Of the 60,000 CRNAs, here in America with a mere 4% African-American background.
